A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash that is blocking multiple lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Pleasanton this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 12:54 p.m. near the Hacienda Drive on-ramp, CHP Officer James Evans said.
The motorcyclist apparently became trapped underneath another vehicle following the collision, Evans said.
The Alameda County coroner was called to the scene of the crash shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
The collision has prompted the closure of the three left eastbound lanes of the highway, according to the CHP.
Evans said there was no estimate for when the lanes would be reopened.
