A 15-year-old boy remains hospitalized but is recovering and feeling better today after suffering a head injury when the skateboard he was riding careened off Grey Fox Circle in southeast Pleasanton on Thursday night and crashed into a streetlight pole.
He was riding down the hill in the 900 block of Gray Fox Circle around 8:30 p.m. when he lost control and fell, according to Pleasanton police Sgt. Mike Tryphonas.
In an email to the Pleasanton Weekly, Judy Alexander, the grandmother of the skateboarder, praised the quick response of the paramedics and firefighters for rescuing her grandson and rushing him to the hospital.
"I cannot thank you (the first responders) enough for your quick response to get our grandson to the hospital," she said. "It has been a tough week for all the family but he is getting better slowly. Many thanks for all the prayers and support we have received."
