Woman arrested for allegedly selling fake Disneyland passes
|
Walnut Creek police arrested a Pleasant Hill woman today on suspicion of fraudulently selling Disneyland passes on Craigslist.
Lisa Marie Cassinelli, 51, allegedly arranged to meet victims in person and sell them the passes at a discounted rate. She always was accompanied by a girl she said was her daughter, according to police.
The Walnut Creek Police Department has three confirmed cases involving Cassinelli. The investigation uncovered two more victims in San
Ramon and an additional two victims in Pleasanton.
Officers served an arrest and search warrant today at her home, where they allegedly recovered additional Disneyland passes and information
indicating there may be other unidentified victims of this scam.
Most evidence indicates the victims are from Contra Costa County and the greater Sacramento area.
She was in the Martinez County jail on Saturday. Her bail was set at $60,000.
Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Walnut Creek police Officer Gabe Mauro at 943-5844.— Bay City News Service Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

Caveat emptor,indeed!
