 | The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office released of the Sheriff is releasing a sketch of a suspect involved in an interrupted residential burglary in unincorporated Danville.
On Thursday, Aug. 18 at 10:52 p.m., a female resident at a home on the 2000 block of Lusitano Street reported that an unknown man rang the doorbell and knocked several times. She did not open the door because she did not recognize the man.
Several minutes later, the resident saw someone breaking a sliding glass door at the rear of the home. She then fled out the front door.
One of the suspects confronted the resident in the street and sprayed her in the face with
pepper spray. The suspects fled empty-handed. The resident was treated by paramedics at the
scene.
Two or three suspects are believed to have been involved. The suspects are described as black male adults between 19 and 27-years-old, 5'7" - 5'10", with thin builds and bald heads. A sketch of one of them has been completed.
The suspects may be driving a black Mercedes Benz GL550. This vehicle had paper plates with "Berkeley" in red lettering.
Anyone with any information on this ongoing investigation is asked to call the Sheriff's Office Investigation Division at 313-2600. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
