Police search for Bay Point man suspected in Costco thefts

Bookmark and Share
Danville Police are searching for a Bay Point resident suspected of stealing electronics from Costco. A warrant with a $50,000 bail bond has been issued for Paul Eric Wichlan, 45, who is currently on parole for drug violations.

According to investigating officer Anthony Perry, burglaries occurred at Costco on Nov. 29, Dec. 3 and Dec. 11 where the suspect allegedly stole a gaming console, computers and other electronics. Wichlan took the goods through an emergency exit where a getaway car was waiting, said Lt. Jeff Moule.

Officer Perry said the goods stolen goods are valued at $1,730. Costco management would not comment on the thefts or Wichlan's seemly brazen escape.

The Danville Express will have more on this story as it develops.

Fool me once...

Nov. 29, Dec. 3, AND Dec. 11? I'm Costco and wouldn't mind paying the extra few cents per member it would cost to post a guard at the emergency exits.

Or cameras...
