Posted by danville government watchdog, a resident of the Danville neighborhood, on Jun 12, 2012 at 9:38 am Watch out, Danville residents! The Planning Commissioners are considering changing existing laws governing second residential units so that you will lose your ability to challenge ones proposed for the lots next to yours! Setback requirements may lessen as well so that you will have the units very close to your property line, losing your privacy. Also, the owner may not be required to live in one of the units (either the primary or secondary) anymore, so that you may end up having 2 separate rental units next to yours, with attendant traffic and noise, and possible lessening of upkeep of the property. Go to the meeting and make your concerns heard!
