 | Crews from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District responded to a grass fire Monday afternoon. The blaze began at 3:03 p.m. at the south end of the Dougherty Valley Road and Bollinger Canyon Road intersection.
Due to aggressive attacks made by five San Ramon Valley engines and one CalFire engine, Fire Marshal Christina Jamison said the blaze was controlled by 3:42 with only between two and three acres burned.
Mowing equipment was in the field when the fire started but no damages have been reported. There were no injuries as a result of the blaze although the cause is still under investigation. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
