Residents interested in learning about town improvement projects are encouraged to attend Friday's morning with the mayor breakfast meeting. Held on the first Friday of each month at Father Nature's (172 E. Prospect Ave.), Mayor Newell Arnerich and other town officials meet with residents to discuss issues and concerns.

The town recently approved its budget and capital improvement plan, a revolving five-year program that guides current and future projects. Among this year's upcoming capital improvements -- which generally include the acquisition of land, construction of new facilities or parks and major equipment purchases -- are synthetic turf replacement at Sycamore Valley Park and a downtown street light conversion program which will replace 43 high-pressure sodium street lights with LEDs.

But how does the town choose projects designed to improve the community and how are they prioritized? On Friday, Senior Civil Engineer Michael Stella will be on hand to answer these and other related questions.

Morning with the Mayor takes place on the first Friday of each month from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Those unable to attend can view a recording of the meeting online at the [www.danville.ca.gov town website.

For more information, contact Assistant to the Town Manager Nat Rojanasathira at 314-3328 or nrojanasathira@danville.ca.gov.
