Tuesday marks the official beginning the 2012-13 school year for Danville students. This year brings new district and school officials, a second year of transitional kindergarten and exciting plans for the future of teaching in SRVUSD.

"The 'fewer, clearer, higher' Common Core Standards adopted by California and most of the nation, anchored by the next generation assessments, will raise the bar in California and in SRVUSD to ensure that every student is stretched academically and creatively," wrote Superintendent Mary Shelton.
