 | Motorists driving through downtown Danville Friday, Oct. 12 should prepare for possible delays as some streets are temporarily closed during the San Ramon Valley High School homecoming parade.
Parts of Railroad Avenue, Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard will be closed while the parade progresses from the high school through the downtown and back. Closures are expected to last from 2:35 p.m. 3:10 p.m.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution when driving downtown as the parade will be passing through and there will be many pedestrians viewing the event as well.
The SRVHS Wolves will take on Cal High's Grizzlies at 7 p.m. that night. Halftime entertainment includes a fireworks show, class float competition results and homecoming king and queen crowning.

Posted by Diane, a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Oct 11, 2012 at 1:28 pm Sure hope the kids have a great time tonight!!
Many fond memories of building Homecoming floats in various garages...
-----
BTW - how is it that the school can come up with money for a fireworks show (including everything... security, fire control, et al) but the cities can't???
