Revamped Morning with the Mayor returns in March
Quarterly meetings will have a more 'informal' feel

Bookmark and Share
Interested residents and early risers will again have a chance to meet with town officials at Morning with the Mayor, which went on a brief hiatus to reassess structure. The morning breakfast meeting served as an informal opportunity for the public to hear updates on community activities, listen to a guest speaker discuss a designated topic and ask general questions to the mayor or town staff.

The newly restructured meetings will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building on a quarterly basis to encourage attendance. Community attendance was generally low, drawing 10-15 residents to Father Nature's Restaurant and 20 to 35 views on the town's YouTube channel. The staff commitment was much larger than the resident response, said Nat Rojanasathira, assistant to the town manager.

"The change in the format is asking more members from various community organizations and service clubs to attend, provide updates of their own and receive feedback," Rojanasathira said. "We're looking forward to having more members of the broader community, members of the service organizations such as Rotary and Kiwanis."

Meetings would be held from 7:30 -8:30 a.m. in March, June, September and December or January.
