| The San Ramon Valley's HeartSafe Community program took CPR to Sacramento for the second year. In partnership with Assembly Member Joan Buchanan, San Ramon Valley Fire taught over 75 CPR and AED use to members of the California State Assembly.
On Feb. 27, members of the Fire District and Emergency Preparedness Citizen Corps Council traveled to the Capital to teach "hands-only" CPR and the proper use of an AED.
"The HeartSafe Committee is honored to have been invited, by Assembly Member Joan Buchanan, to teach this life saving skill to all Assembly members and their staff," said Captain Andy Swartzell, emergency services coordinator for the District. "Saving a life has never been easier, everyone should learn hands-only CPR."Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
