Have fun in the great meadow for Lazarex
The Danville-based Lazarex Cancer Foundation will host a day-long musical celebration, "Bridge to Hope," on the Great Meadow of Fort Mason Park in San Francisco tomorrow, Sept. 26, to raise awareness and funds to continue its work. Lazarex is the resource - perhaps the only resource - for cancer patients whose only glimmer of hope is treatments beyond accepted procedures such as traditional radiation and chemotherapy.
The "Bridge to Hope" festival will be a day of world class music, gourmet food, arts and crafts, and the opportunity to celebrate the lives of men, women and children being given a last chance to defeat cancer by the efforts of a local nonprofit whose influence is becoming felt worldwide. And all with a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge over the Bay.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and entertainment will continue until 7 p.m. General admission is $38. Go to www.bridgetohopelcf.org or call (800) 595-4849.
