Comments on Stories, posted by Editor, Danville Weekly Online, on Feb 14, 2013 at 7:05 am

Members of San Ramon's City Council were hesitant to accept an update to the city's smoking ordinance Tuesday night. Following Council concerns, residents could now smoke on golf courses and withing 25 feet of a building in an open parking lot.

Good that an update on smoking, no matter first, second or third hand, the medical, scientific facts are irrefutable.

Cig smoke kills eyes, nostrils, lungs, skin, hair, discolors teeth and nails, and all for the pleasure of smoking; what a short term pleasure for long range sickness. Havent you seen those elderly persons wheeling their air tank to support their breathing as a result of their hay day smoking years? The reward for short term smoking pleasures.

Doesnt make sense to me; when parents seek to have their children participate in organized games inside parks while smoking takes place.

For some smoking is a divine right, it is also a divine right to poison others unofficially. Havent you sensed the smoke residual on clothes and how offensive that aroma is to one's well being? It gives me the feeling that I want to vomit it is just that offensive.

Where do you smoke?

I agree with the smoking issue. But what bother's me is that you people love to be controlled.

That is the sad part of all these ordinances. Every ordinance says YOU CAN NOT DO THIS OR THAT.

I don't think there is one ordinance that says, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS OR THAT.

You all love to be controlled. If we the people continue to feed the power crazy starving beast, they will continue to create laws and ordinances that will govern your simple lives. In fact you won't have to think anymore...just open the life guidance manual furnished by your local brain dead city council members regarding what you may not do today...Sad but true....

Thanks for listening, Julia Pardini from Alamo where all the free thinkers live and love life.
