jOAN bUCHANON SUPPORTS BART UNIONS OVER BART RIDERS
Comments on Stories, posted by ED COSGROVE, a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Jul 7, 2009 at 4:09 pm

BY SIGNING A LETTER WARNING BART NOT TO NEGOTIATE AGGRESSUVELY AGAINST FAT AND STILL GREEDY PUBLIC SERVICE UNIONS THAT ALREADY HAVE THE HIGHEST SALARIES, BENEFITS AND GENEROUS (100% PAID BY RIDERSHIP FARES) PENSIONS IN THE NATION, BUCHANON HAS SHOWED HERSELF TO BE THE OPPOSITE OF A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE AND A TYPICAL SLEAZY POLITICIAN . BART FARES WERE JUST RISEN 6.1% ON JULY 1ST AND NOW THE UNIONS AND WANT BART TO RAISE THEM MORE.

BUCHANON HAS JOINED THE MOST LIBERAL POLITICIANS IN THE BAY AREA IN SIGNING THIS LETTER TO INTIMIDATE BART MANAGEMENT AND THE RIDERS CAN ONLY HOPE THAT SHE HAS FAILED TO DO SO AND THAT BART MANAGEMENT WILL FIGHT HARD FOR ROLLBACKS ON SALARIES PENSIONS AND BENEFITS SO THAT COMMUTERS CAN HAVE AFFORDABLE TRANSPORTATION. THE LINK TO THE LETTER IS Web Link.

Must you holler? It makes you sound intemperate. Why would I want to read such a raving rant?
