I certainly believe that MC was in the wrong here, but I also agree with the decision to drop the charges. People: if you're not guilty, DO what the police officer TELLS you to do! I wish MC could walk a mile in the average cops shoes for a day or two, and see the crap they have to put up with: it's a difficult job at best. The belligerent attitude shown by some people towards hard-working officers, who are there for US, continues to amaze me...

The Officer did exactly what he had to do. You have a guy with a bad attitude sitting in a car with expired registration and no owner to be found. If Mr. Hammer had cooperated, he would most likely not have ended up in custody. Also, if Mr. You Can't Touch This, had explained to the police officer who the owner was, he would not have gone to jail.

"MC" Stands for Missing Cranium.

You know, it would be at least as easy to assume that the case was dropped because of defects in the cop's performance of his duties. But what's fascinating is that every reader of these very incomplete facts fills-in his/her own -- based mostly on our preconceptions.

I don't know what happened that evening, and neither do you -- so I think I'll just shrug and file this under "the human nature, ain't it ridiculous?"

Hey Citizen Paine, maybe you missed this part of the article.

"Burrell could not produce any proof that the vehicle was his and became uncooperative with officers," Walters said.

Calling the Lt. A liar? ACSO made this thing all up, huh? Come out of your bubble, this kind of thing happens all the time. Just because it happened to a one time parachute pajama pants dancer doesn't mean he gets a free pass.

Obviously, Nick, you prefer the police version. Good for you.
