This is great! I hope parents will stop pushing their not-quite-ready 4/5-yr olds, who take away valuable class time with their behavior. May we dream that perhaps the 5-yr olds who are being wrongfully held back by their parents for sports purposes *eye roll* will be required to attend this pre-K and then moved forward into regular kindergarten if they're ready?

What a ridiculous program with the fact that elementary, middle and high schools actually need this money for real teaching. Whatever happened to parents needing to pay for pre-K type programs if they want their kid in school prior to normal Kindergarten? Enough with the special interests. I kept my kids in and PAID FOR preschool until they were ready for Kindergarten. It is time for parents to take responsibility for those they bring into the world!!!!!

Yes, why give kids a head start on their education? It would only help them succeed in school and help our society in the long run.
Oh..... that's right, because, if they can't pay for it individually, they don't deserve our help.
