In memory of MLK

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Beverley Wadsworth (left) and Barbara Hubinger gathered up their buckets, rubber gloves and "pick-up tools" and headed to downtown Danville to clear cigarette butts, broken glass, aluminum cans - and every other manner of trash - from parking lots, sidewalks and curb areas. They filled 14-1/2 buckets in just a few hours.

"After three hours we emptied our final buckets and took great pleasure in our small effort at MLK community service," reported Hubinger. "Maybe next year we can encourage and possibly convince other Danville residents to help out on MLK Day with their contribution to community service."
