Gas card drawings are all the fashion

Bookmark and Share
Contra Costa for Every Generation is offering a chance to win $5,000 in Chevron gas with its first major fundraising campaign. The drawing for that Grand Prize takes place July 31, but an early bird drawing is being held March 31 for those who have purchased a ticket by March 15. The Early Bird winning ticket will go back into the drawing for the Grand Prize.

Tickets cost $50, and may be purchased by more than one person. Mail checks to Contra Costa for Every Generation; 3478 Buskirk Ave., Suite 1026; Pleasant Hill 94523. Call 746-7169 to use a credit card or with questions.

CCEG is a nonprofit group working to make local communities good places to age - to stay healthy, live independently, and lead full and productive lives. The gas gift cards are being donated and all proceeds will go toward operating costs.

Meanwhile, Danville resident Mari Walden won $1,950 worth of gas - 500 gallons - from Ford Motor Co. after she entered a drawing while getting her car serviced at Walnut Creek Ford's Quick Lane store. The nationwide sweepstakes was held to celebrate the opening of the 500th Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center. Walden was one of 10 first-prize winners from 32,000 entries. So the odds with CCEG are much better!
