San Ramon Valley High School sophomore Katja Pidel executes a front one and a half somersault pike dive to place first in the North Coast Section diving championships with a score of 404.95 on Thursday, May 14, at the Concord Community Pool. Pidel also won every duel meet of the season and East Bay Athletic League on May 3.

Top three winners at the championship were Kim Lisiak (senior, Carondelet), Katja Pidel (sophomore, SRVHS) and Katie Thralls (senior, Granada).
