Shop in the heartland of Danville on Monday

Heartland Danville Antiques and Art Faire will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday, Sept. 7, on Railroad Avenue, starting at Prospect Avenue and going north. It's a chance to enjoy antiques and artisan wares while strolling through Danville.

Informal antique appraisals will be held at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, at the corner of Railroad and Prospect, from 10 a.m-2 p.m. Family heirlooms can be appraised for a $10 donation to the Museum.

The Museum is also holding its first Elegant Flea Market the same day, consisting of items that people have donated over the years with the understanding they will be sold to benefit the Museum. They include handsome framed pictures of the railroad and the Valley, books, silver, thrown pots, a steamer trunk, antique took and other interesting items.
