Magic allows only three goals in tourney

The Mustang Magic U11 girls soccer team concluded its August tournament schedule by winning the Adidas Champions Cup in Sacramento on Aug. 30, posting four shutouts on the way to a championship game victory over Modesto Ajax. The team opened the month by winning the Rage College Showcase Tournament in Pleasanton. In 13 tournament games in August, the Magic allowed only three goals. Team members include Coach Jeff Land, Emma Belkin, Jessa Benson, Shelby Bertolozzi, Nicole Emerson, Emma Hight, Shanna Keil, Whitney Lincoln, Morgan Mahre, Mia Maloney, Maya Nielan, Stephanie Shields and Julia Van Warmerdam.
